Dynamic Response Stressing and Fatigue Analysis

Fuel Failure

Apply buffet flight pressure spectrum to the structure and perform frequency response analysis (Sol 111)
to determine RMS response; Identify critical fatigue extract free body loads for those features using a combination of frequency
response output and normal mode shapes.

Perform detailed stress analysis of the features (panel and flange fastener holes, flange/web/stiffeners
corners, spat to rib joints and cleats, system interface joints etc).

Calculate the stress concentration factors of the features using either detailed FE methods or legacy data
i.e. Peterson's Stress Concentration Factor Book.

Calculate fatigue lives of the identified critical structure features under the buffet vibration environment
using the stress concentrations or feature based SN data.

Produce full supporting stress and fatigue analysis reports.
